I started in networking when BGP on a Linux box with Quagga was the affordable option and a good syslog setup felt like magic. Since then I've managed nationwide backbone infrastructure (Cisco, Juniper, MPLS, DWDM), run enterprise DNS/DHCP/IPAM for large clients on Infoblox, BlueCat, and VitalQIP, and built tooling in Ansible and Docker that made my team's daily work meaningfully faster.
Outside work hours I run a two-site home lab — Proxmox, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Wazuh SIEM, Grafana/Prometheus, pfSense, a Cisco rack switch with VLAN segmentation, and a Cloudflare tunnel between locations. I write small Bash and Python tools when something in my workflow annoys me. Currently preparing for RHCSA and studying network security.
